Can you code? Got a spare evening?
I'm working on a project and I could do with some help.

When it's finished, it'll be a web-available database of resources for people in Australia living with chronic illnesses. I could really do with a hand from somebody fluent in PHP/MySQL coding - it's fairly basic stuff, just the one database with simple validation rules. To start with, I just want the ability for users to browse the existing records. Added bonusses for later would be adding records or editing existing records, but that requires user logins and other annoyances so I'll start without it.

I can do some of this myself - it just takes a stupidly large amount of spoons and time for me to do it. But it does means that even just a few hours of coding help would give me a solid start and then I could chisel off the rough edges myself.

Drop me an email or leave a comment after the beep :)

do you need any HTML or very simple CSS for this? because i'm pretty good at HTML, and i'm trying to teach myself CSS. but PHP and database stuff are beyond me.

*hugs*

I can spend some time on this :) My design skills suck, so I can't promise it'll look *pretty*, but my coding skills are pretty good IMHO :)
Let me know more details and I'll see what i can do! comment here or "sarahemm at sarahemm dot ostrich net" (remove the ostrich). :)

Oh, thanks. I'll rememebr that for when we get up to the front end stuff if you're willing?

Also, it's an internet project so it doesn't matter where people live - we can do it all online. The net's great like that! :)

Thanks,

Hey Ricky,
I know this has nothing to do with the entry, but my b'friend, George is also disabled and runs a website directory uhad2bthere and is thinking about adding t-shirts to it to sell, well I showed him nopity! and he likes some of your ideas, would he be allowed to borrow some of them to sell on his website?

I'm at his for the weekend - (he just said that if you want to add your website to the directory you can!) so you'd need to comment on my LJ or after Sunday by e-mail.

Hope you're not doing too badly...we'll have to catch up soon...if you want to contact George you can do so by messaging [info]ironside66 as I persuaded (read bullied) him into getting an LJ so that he could read mine and join other communities...

Love and Gentle Hugs
Joey

He's welcome to link to the NoPity site or if he wants to get an affiliate membership at Zazzle.com he can link to my shirts and other people's direct at Zazzle.com and get 7% (I think?) comission on sales. My Zazzle.com address would be http://zazzle.com/rickybuchanan* if he wants to do that.

If he wants to sell them independantly with no link to me, get him to email me about it.

Regards,
Ricky
